Alden Tassel Moccasin
While it seems the Alden Long Wing Blucher has found quite a resurgence among the masses, as the weather begins to warm in the coming months it seems the Tassel Moccasin is getting ready to have its moment in the sun. I, for one, wonder what the hell took so long for this bandwagon to get rolling, as the tassel mocc is gorgeous.
While you can find it in black, burgundy, brown and suede, I opt for the tan as I feel like it has a slightly less formal look than the darker shades and the calfskin will be more durable and easier to care for than the suede (though I may add the suede to my collection in the near future). The Aberdeen Last tends to run a half size large, so select your size accordingly.
Took these photos with denim to show you that the tassel moccs can do some good work outside of the office and don’t always need to be paired with suits, cords or chinos. Take note, as you can bring the tassel mocc to any occasion.
To all my climate challenged friends, careful with the sans socks this time of year. Maybe we can petition Mocc Sock & Co. to produce some type of insulated wool blend variation.
If you are inclined to join Team Tassel Moccasin, The Shoe Mart can help you.

Excellent pair of shoes!!! They get better with age and attentive polishing. Good luck with them.
Thanks Paul!
Those are slick. Also, great job with the images lately.
Haha. Thanks man… DSLR upgrade gets all the credit on the photos.
georgous. my ankles are aching to leave my socks behind… but with 18 inches of snow in mass. it will be a while. would’nt mind slipping into a pair of those for a spring fling.
