Sunny Sports | Navy Bandana Scarf

September 30, 2011

One item I am always excited to break back out in autumn is the scarf.  Other than when wearing a tie, no accessory brings overt color and frivolity to an ensemble like a great scarf.  Neckwear lets a man explore more robust and rebellious patterns and color palettes that would not be suitable for other attire. While many menswear rules are indeed made to be broken, it is usually wise to keep your bolder patterns like paisley, tartan and argyle to accessories such as the scarf.

I usually opt for lightweight scarves that are made from softer materials such as cotton or linen. Heavier fabrics like wool might keep you warmer but also can be itchy and look bulky wrapped around one’s neck.  Something about the tousled and unkempt way a light scarf drapes gently around a man’s neck has a devil-may-care elegance that a thicker material cannot reproduce.

The scarf that has my attention this A/W is the Sunny Sports Navy Bandana Scarf.

Head over to Context Clothing to get your neck around one of your own.
