Alden x Leffot Gatsby LWB
I love these shoes. Not just because the novel that turned me on to reading as a kid was The Great Gatsby (see my Twitter Bio for my favorite quote from the book) or because they could help me emulate Redford in the film version but because these Leffot exclusives are the perfect (leather) shoe for spring/summer. And let’s not forget who made them, as Alden remains the quintessential American shoe manufacturer.
From Leffot, “This is one that we’ve wanted to make for a while and here it is, the Alden x Leffot “Gatsby” Longwing Blucher. Spectator shoes date from the nineteenth century but reached the height of popularity during the 1920s and 1930s. Inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald our Gatsby is crisp and clean in burnished tan and white calfskin. An enduring classic with loads of style these pair perfectly with seersucker, linen and cotton. You’re guaranteed to turn plenty of heads as quite the dandy in a pair these spring.”
Head over to none other than Leffot for more images and details but don’t tarry to acquire as once they’re gone, they’re gone.
