Izola | Functional Accessories

May 29, 2012

It’s true that you can get utilitarian accessories just about anywhere but it’s rare that those items will reflect a minimal or waggish aesthetic. Izola’s goods do just that in remaining functional yet expressing a certain charm that often comes with antiques and heirlooms. And while my dad didn’t have a family flask to hand down, if he did, I’d hope it would look like the one Izola creates.

Stocking plenty of goods a man needs when it comes to caring for himself and his apparel, Izola adds a touch of tongue-in-cheek to most of their wares, helping a man not take himself too seriously. As you peruse their offerings you realize they have three things in mind for a man; look good, smell good and drink up. I’ll second all three.

From Izola, “Inspired by the old world utilitarian ideal of making something that is “built to last,” IZOLA and Aesthetic Movement have curated a collection of whimsical objects with a masculine sense of antiquity. Made with great care and attention to detail, this series of functional every day staples is designed to be the perfect gifts for men. The products include flasks, soaps, candles, laundry bags, bamboo toothbrushes, handkerchiefs, shoe brushes, shower rings, ceramics and shower curtains.”

Make your way over to Izola to scout their inventory.

That letter opener looks more for killing people than opening letters.
