A.P.C. + Carhartt
Classing up Carhartt means a slim fit and meticulous features that appeals to a guy who enjoys an unconventional take on quintessential Americana. And while workwear might mean something different in France than it does here in the states, that’s ok as I’m probably not doing too much heavy lifting in a shirt that costs $175 anyway.
From Need Supply, “The A.P.C. + Carhartt project is the organic development between A.P.C.’s Jean Touitou and Carhartt’s Arnaud Faeh, using gut instinct as the principal guide. It is the birth of a new brand by a group of guys who are friends foremost, but run popular and successful brands in their own rights. Or, as they call themselves, “boat mates.”

Looks to me like Carhartt came up with some designs that are completely consistent with what they have always done, and APC came up with the idea of tripling the price. Boo.
I’ll second that “boo” on the price point.
