Apron | Assemblage
Like plenty of other menswear enthusiasts, I’m also a gourmand who secretly want to be a chef de cuisine. And while my cooking skills are that of a mere novice, I get much life from both preparing and eating meaningful meals with friends and family. Knowing how to cook and cook reasonably well is one of my few should’s in life, as Jim Harrison says, “If you eat badly, you are probably living badly.”
As another sage, Anthony Bourdain, often says, “cook free or die” and it’s true that food and death are in many ways interconnected and one could make the argument that the lack of quality cooks in our homes these days is indeed a detriment to our very lives. I could continue getting all philosophical concerning the intrinsic value in cooking for yourself and/or others or wax poetic about the relationship that co-exists between fare and wear but since this a blog (mostly) about menswear, I’ll refrain and keep it lighthearted.
So if you’re also a wannabe chef who finds himself thieving his lady’s apron to keep ingredients off his apparel, look into this assemblage of aprons to bridge the gap for good. Click on each name to exit out for purchase info.

I’ve always been a big fan of this work apron for one of my local manufacturers, Queen City Dry Goods.
