Lumina Clothing Co. | Giveaway
Clothing made well, made in the U.S. and made with a backbone is not Lumina’s slogan but it should be. The team over at Lumina Clothing Co. may be small by industry standards (only 4 gentlemen) but are prodigious in offering made in the U.S. menswear that is both imaginative and affordable.
The Crimson & Clover Tie is the perfect 2” 7/8” wide while their Guilford Denim Tote is a great option for some light reading material and your MacBook. The shirt is tapered and has a higher arm hole but the most interesting thing about Lumina’s clothing is their sizing, offering the routine small, medium and large options along with their + formatting, which basically creates an alternative to those of us who are often in between sizes in other brands.
From Lumina, “We do have superior quality clothes, but we don’t believe that is what defines what we do. We really want to set ourselves apart in our philosophy. We decided to express this philosophy through clothes, which we absolutely love. The basic idea is that we wanted to do something innately North Carolinian and to bolster the industries that were once so predominate in our state, but have fallen away, such as textiles, agriculture, and manufacturing. Clothes seemed to align with this goal well, and we set out to accomplish what we could. Our ultimate goal is to have our entire operation in NC. For now, we are happy to have everything made in the USA.”

This post made one of my sartorial new year’s resolutions to be have a majority Made in USA wardrobe. That tie is lovely.
Saw Lumina showcase at Sparkcon Raleigh and have been drawn to their fine quality and sharp styling ever since-would love to try a shirt to be a core piece of the wardrobe.
